It goes without saying that the COVID-19 virus has caused unprecedented disruptions to businesses globally. At the same time, it has increased the need for reliable, secure, and scalable data management solutions. To help minimize any further disruptions to your business, at BDx our data centers have remained fully operational. In order to make this possible, we have implemented strict policies and procedures to minimize the risk of operational impact and to protect the health and safety of our customers, partners and employees.
We would like to pay a special thank you to our dedicated staff who are going above and beyond, rising to the call of duty to ensure that our data centers continue to be available, with the same level of service and efficiency that you have grown to expect from BDx. These essential staff members have continued to work in our data centers while the remainder of our employees have shifted to remote work. At BDx we continue to adhere to specific government restrictions in all of the countries and communities where we operate, and we are committed to helping to reduce further spread of the COVID-19 virus.
The BDx teams who continue to work around the clock 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year include:
– Network Operations Center Team – This team is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, dispatching, and managing incidents and changes. They are integral to ensuring we can proactively manage and respond quickly to situations.
– Facilities Management Team – This team is responsible for the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) program to maintain the critical Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing (MEP) infrastructure of the data center.
– Data Center Operations / Security – This team is responsible for remote hands, deployments, site security, and all other aspects of ensuring that customers and their assets are taken care of and that our data centers are running smoothly.
BDx and our team of essential workers will continue to accommodate critical data center visits if needed, as well as managing remote access, site security, network operations and facilities management, while minimizing the risks to all staff and visitors. We are grateful for the service of these essential BDx team members and recognize how very important the work that they are doing is for all of us.
